Here at Lovestitch we find inspiration from so many things: Music, art, current events, to name a few. But lately there has been one thing that we have been obsessing over more than usual: Travel.

Travel is so vital to what we do at Lovestitch. Our clothing is made to travel with you, to explore in, and to be inspired by. Our bags were designed to be taken along for the journey. When travel was restricted this year by Covid-19, we felt a new appreciation for alternative methods of travel, such as the trusty road trip.

A road trip is a great way to immerse yourself in the places you travel through. And, as it turns out, better for the environment and better at protecting yourself from Covid-19 than travelling by plane. Not to mention that travelling by car has a certain romantic element to it.

In lieu of physically getting in the car and hitting the road, we’ve imagined a road trip through the Southwest inspired by some of our favorite Lovestitch styles for Fall. So, pack your bags, buckle up, and hit the road with us!

We’re starting in Santa Barbara with friend of Lovestitch, Kacee Santana. Santa Barbara is a beautiful coastal city about 100 miles from Los Angeles. Set against the Santa Ynez mountains with a mix of Mediterranean and Spanish style architecture, this picturesque city is packed with things to see and do.

Kacee hangs out by the water in one of our favorite statement sweaters for Fall. A cable knit style with a cool fringe hemline, this chic pullover is the perfect Fall layer and pairs beautifully with white denim.

A suede fringe moto jacket is a Fall staple, and ours is made from animal friendly vegan suede. Pair it with a white tee and denim for a classic Fall vibe.

We're skipping past the rush of the city and heading straight to the desert. And you can’t drive through the desert without stopping at the Seven Magic Mountains. This breathtaking installation by artist Ugo Rondinone was opened in Nevada in 2016.

Denim blue and the desert go hand in hand, just like denim and Fall. Our friend Cailee Johnson models this gorgeous strappy tank dress, a fantastic alternative to a traditional denim dress style. It’s feminine and versatile and can be layered for quick drops in temperature.

Rourke Midi Dress

Another great denim dress, this cotton shirt dress is a staple travelling style because it transitions seamlessly from a jaunt in the desert to a night out on the town. The shadow front pockets add an element of interest to this classic style.

Lastly, who doesn't love a little white dress?! This bohemian style has whimsical details throughout in a pretty clip dot dobby texture. Throw this dress on with boots for warm desert days or add a jean jacket for chilly Fall nights.

We're heading to Arizona, and a trip to Arizona isn't complete without a visit to the Grand Canyon! One of the country's most breathtaking parks, the Grand Canyon has been a destination for families and individuals alike for decades.

A lightweight sweater is crucial on a trip to the Grand Canyon. This chic pullover features bold stripes and a relaxed fit. Pair it with jeans for a casual look.

A classic plaid shirt is the perfect travel companion. Button it up and tuck it in on chilly days, or tie it around your waist on hikes. Either way, you'll be glad you packed it.

After all that road tripping, we need to rest and recharge! Let's head to Sedona.

Located within the Coconino National Forest in the Northern Verde Valley region, Sedona has become a destination for those seeking wellness and spiritual enrichment.

A jumpsuit is an easy item to pack on a road trip, because it truly is a one and done style. With a bit of accessorizing, you can adapt a jumpsuit to just about any activity or environment. A comfortable one piece perfect for meditation and relaxation, our halter jumpsuit is a relaxed, wide leg style with a flattering v-neckline and open back. Layer it over a t-shirt, or add a cozy cardigan over top.

Speaking of cozy cardigans, we've got one that will have you covered on your entire journey and all season long. This honeycomb style knit cardigan is the perfect mid-length sweater. With essential side pockets and an easy open front, you'll be reaching for this cozy Fall style over and over again.
